Raised in Eugene (1988) by an East German chemical engineer and a Mexican electrical engineer, technology was my native language. I began coding at 14 and spent my early career founding startups, freelancing, and teaching in the CIS department at Mt. Hood Community College before deciding to shift my focus toward human services.
In 2017, I pivoted to counseling, cutting my teeth in high-acuity environments like Residential Drug treatment and the Lane County Jail. I value the honesty and grit found in these settings—so much so that I continue to work shifts at the jail today alongside my private practice.
During my transition, I realized many talented clinicians and founders were being held back from independence by technical and business hurdles. This sparked a passion for supporting the "underdog," whether in the therapy field or the broader startup landscape. I enjoy helping small businesses navigate the tech side of their work so they can focus on their actual missions.
Today, I balance seeing private clients with running a software branch dedicated to helping entrepreneurs build sustainable operations. This dual path allows me to bring my full self to the table: the analytical precision of an engineer, the perspective of a counselor, and a commitment to the success of independent business owners.
